NOV. 16 – DEC. 14 Grief Temple: A Circle of Grief Support (Online)

Gathering in a safe space in a small group to be truly witnessed in your grief, while having it lovingly acknowledged – is profound medicine amid the grief journey.

This is a circle of grief specifically for those who’ve experienced loss in the form of death. With the holidays fast-approaching, it can be a particularly tough time. Share safe space with a group of people who get it. You are not alone. Deep, compassionate listening awaits you. This is a sacred space where you can find solace, reflection, connection, and guidance through your journey of loss. You will feel a sense of community and belonging in your grief, and also learn and share coping practices and self care rituals.

The truth is that grief is a full-body, visceral experience that is beyond the mind’s comprehension. One cannot think their way through grief: you have to feel your way through it. It requires safe, loving attention in order to acknowledge it, embody it, transmutate it – and essentially, consciously engage the path of  healing. Grief is not a problem to be solved or something that can be fixed, but rather, tended to – amid integrating our loss. Grief changes over time and becomes different, and it is a different experience for each person. No two experiences of loss are ever the same.

This healing space invites us to disarm, and show up in support for ourselves and by doing this, we show up for each other.

You are welcome to participate no matter where you are in your grieving process, and no matter how much time has passed since your loved one departed.

About Satya

Satya completed a deep-dive study into renowned grief practitioner, Francis Weller’s work, including participating in his “Apprenticeship with Sorrow” course.  After losing her mother to sudden death six years ago, she has been guiding folks on the grief journey. Her practice deepened more recently after losing her father to a tragic and complicated death during the early days of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Her work is rooted in a deep and profound understanding of what the grief experience holds. Backed with two decades of yogic practice, she offers a heartful space of utmost respect and reverence to You and your tender heart.

I acknowledge and express gratitude for living on the lands of the Hul’q’umi’num’ and SENĆOŦEN (Coast Salish) speaking peoples.

Vedic Priestess Temple welcomes beings from all walks of life – including LGBTQIA2S and BIPOC folks, as well as persons with disabilities.
