MAR. 21 ~ Equinox Fire Ceremony: The Sacred Womb of Creation

Equinox • New Moon • Navratri

At the convergence of the Equinox, New Moon, and Navratri, we gather at a sacred threshold – together in fire ceremony to honour and celebrate the creative power of the Goddess form through Kamakhya Devi.

During Navratri we honour the many faces of the Goddess – such as Durga, Lakshmi, and Saraswati – yet beneath them all flows a deeper current of Shakti.

Revered as the Bleeding Goddess, Kamakhya embodies the primordial womb from which Creation arises. At her tantric temple in Assam, India, the Goddess is worshipped as the living source of life itself in the shape of a yoni – reminding us that what has long been hidden or feared in the feminine – the dark, the cyclical, the blood of Creation – is profoundly sacred.

From this fertile darkness, the light of creation begins.

As the earth turns toward spring and day and night come into balance, we too stand at a powerful moment of emergence. What has been quietly forming within is ready to come to life.

Fresh from pilgrimage to the sacred Kamakhya Temple, Satya will share stories, mantra, and sacred elements from the temple – including sacred anointments, which we will also offer into our ceremonial fire.

Through mantra, meditation, breath work, and guided fire ritual – we will release what is complete and call forward what is ready to be born.

Bring your prayers, your intentions, and your open heart.

Step across the threshold and enter the fire of creation.

All are welcome, no previous ceremony experience is required.

This offering is rooted in the Vedic lineage and Bhakti Yoga, and honours Satya’s ancestral connection to these sacred traditions.

In ceremony, we sit in circle, we hold our intention, we chant, we pray, we offer, we surrender. Together, we hold this charged space co-creatively. We invoke and commune with very subtle sacred energies – the deities (aka: spirits/goddess/Creator – or whatever you call Source). The fire of wisdom burns away all that does not serve. Ultimately, this holy fire transforms, purifies, cleanses and heals.

Using the agency of fire inside a copper vessel, and connecting with the biodynamic rhythm of Mother Earth while we chant – the Vedic Fire Ceremony serves as a direct portal to the deities. It is one of the most ancient forms of ritual in the world, originating from Satya’s ancestral land of India some 10,000 years ago. It was channelled by rishis and seers in the high Indian Himalayas. It serves as an altar to the Divine – and a space for healing, emotional purification, karmic cleansing, and deep transformation. It is a symbol of that which we are (Satya/Truth), and that which we are not (Mitya/not-Truth). It is a ceremony that re-patterns trauma, and a sacred space where we can let go of everything that is keeping us separate, including fear and attachment. ॐ

*This ceremony is also known as agni yajna, fire puja, and havan.
