What are you working to heal right now? Within yourself, within your family lines, your community, the planet – and/or for the collective?
Join Satya during the Full Moon Vedic Fire Ceremony for Healing on Friday, May 24th at 7pm. Bring your sankalpa (healing intention) and make offerings and prayers to the fire of wisdom, as we invoke and commune with Shiva. We will focus on bringing healing and peace with the power of the yogic healing mantra (Mahamrityunjaya), which is rooted in Shiva – the yogic deity of healing. You will hear stories of Shiva, and we will utilize the healing yantra (yogic sacred geometry) and mudra (yogic sacred seals) to enhance our practice. There will also be opportunity to bring in those you wish to send healing to. You are so welcome.
This offering is centred in the roots of yoga, traditional yoga, and bhakti yoga. Yoga is rooted in the Vedic lineage of Satya’s ancestors.
Background on Ceremony
In ceremony, we sit in circle, we hold our intention, we chant, we pray, we offer, we surrender. Together, we hold this charged space co-creatively. We invoke and commune with very subtle sacred energies – the deities (aka: spirits/goddess/Creator – or whatever you call Source). The fire of wisdom burns away all that does not serve. Ultimately, this holy fire transforms, purifies, cleanses and heals.
Using the agency of fire inside a copper vessel, and connecting with the biodynamic rhythm of Mother Earth while we chant – the Vedic Fire Ceremony serves as a direct portal to the deities. It is one of the most ancient forms of ritual in the world, originating from Satya’s ancestral land of India some 10,000 years ago. It was channelled by rishis and seers in the high Indian Himalayas. It serves as an altar to the Divine – and a space for healing, emotional purification, karmic cleansing, and deep transformation. It is a symbol of that which we are (Satya/Truth), and that which we are not (Mitya/not-Truth). It is a ceremony that re-patterns trauma, and a sacred space where we can let go of everything that is keeping us separate, including fear and attachment. ॐ
*This ceremony is also known as agni yajna, fire puja, and havan.

Satya Amrita Kumari Jehman (Vedic Priestess Temple)
Born into the Vedic lineage, Satya has been living the traditional path of yoga all her life – with a more concentrated practice over the last 22 years. She carries the gift of ceremony and ritual by the grace of her ancestors. She apprenticed in India over two winters, inheriting the ceremony when her mother suddenly left her body. Her mother’s death was her fire initiation, and her mother’s body was her first offering into the fire of wisdom. Five years later, she offered her father’s body into the fire of wisdom, which has only deepened her intention behind this offering from her ancestors and lineage. She humbly accepts the deep honour and responsibility to carry this lineage ritual forward, for the greater good of the Whole. Encouraged by her teachers, she has been leading ceremony on the west coast of Canada, and in south and north India during new and full moons. She also leads ceremony for healing, renewal, union, rites of passage, and other occasions as requested. Ceremonies are conducted both with groups and in private. Furthermore, she has completed a three-month study and practice in Ancestral Water Healing Ritual with Akhanda Yoga (Yogirishhi Vishvktu) of Rishikesh, India. She also offers this form of practice.
Satya completed a year-long Yoga Apprenticeship in 2015 (Vijnana Yoga RYT200), and a deep dive study into jnana yoga (Vedic scripture study/self inquiry) with her teacher in India amid a trio of winters from 2011-2013. While there in 2016, Satya was initiated into the Sidh Kunjika Stotram – the highest call to Maha Shakti (Divine Mother). She has been furthering her yogic studies in India with regular trips there for the past 14 years.
Encouraged by her teachers, Satya is a facilitator of Retreats, Workshops, Ceremony, Ritual & One-on-One Guide on Salt Spring Island and surrounding communities, in India – as well as online. Satya offers from the deepest place in her with utmost respect and reverence to her ancestors, to You, to the Divine, and to the Self.
